MINI-LAUNCHER

(using the Deployment Device as the primary launcher)
Return HOME -

Here's a fun little launcher I recently started to develop.

I've borrowed the technology of my Deployment Device to make a MINI SIZE Water Rocket Launcher.

I was thinking that if this device can work so good for second (and more stage) deployments, why not have it work as the primary launcher.

Here's how it works:
(1) Fill water rocket with some water.
(2) Put inverted water rocket over Deployment Device.
(3) Pressurize launcher assembly.
(4) Turn exhaust valve on brass manifold. This will release pressure only contained in launcher assembly.
(5) When all pressure excapes from launcher assembly, the Deployment Device will release the rocket.

When compared to the Bigfoot Water Rocket System that I normally sell, there's a big difference. The bigger system has that BIG PUNCH to sends those water rockets perfectly straight up into the sky. This mini-launcher is just a prototype and does work, but with lesser performance.

This particular mini-launcher had a deployment device which contained silicon RTV. It was limited in performance because of the inherent slippery surface of silicon. I'll update this launcher with an updated Deployment Device and give you another report. More latter....... Neat little contraption though.
