SAFETY ENHANCEMENT
Bigfoot Water Rocket Launcher Systems shipped
after 03/17/98 will be equipped with REMOTE ABORT.
For any reason, you will be able to cancel a launch and depressurize the rocket without being near it!!!!
Each Launcher will have two different colored strings. Red to abort, and green to launch.
REASONS for ABORTING a LAUNCH
Trigger is jammed or not tensioned correctly.
Dirt inside bottle wedged between bottle and internal launch tube.
No time to launch because something else came up.
2nd stage deployment is misbehaving.
You accidently exceeded designated water fill.
You accidently exceeded designated pressure.
Fins or nose cone problems.
Rupture in bottle.
Seals are leaking water or air pressure.
Must change angle of launch trajectory.
Parachute deployed.
Telephone call.
To change ballast weight in nose cone.
Need to get camcorder or camera.
You are only pressure testing indoors and do not intend to launch.
Bottle is stretching. You are filling with air, but the pressure gauge is
not changing.
Your bike pump broke.
Your cranky old neighbor is now looking over your fence.
Your mom threatened to spank you, if you launch.
The Cat you tied to the rocket, escaped.
The police department's helicopter is hovering over your yard.
You have second thought about using radioactive materials in you rocket.
