The new riser is about 5" tall and threads into the 1/2 NPT brass anchor on the Bigfoot Launcher. The riser is the interface between the launcher and the internal launch tubes which fit inside the rockets. The new riser can now accommodate three different outside diameter Internal Launch Tubes! Without any modification, the upper female portion of this new riser fits 1/2 inch, 3/8 inch, and 1/4 inch PVC pipe.
The Riser fits 1/2 inch NPT threads for 1/2inch PVC pipe. This is the size pipe used to slide up inside the neck of a normal soda bottle necks. The 1/2 inch PVC pipe is made from Schedule 80 and has an O ring seal.
For extra versitility, this 1/2 inch NPT thread will also fit any male 1/2 inch adapter of fitting. This will allow adding a "Clark" Tie Wrap Launcher assembly, or a Garden Hose Quick Disconnect launcher assembly on top of this riser.
Last, it fits a 1/4 inch PVC pipe. This is for those that made Vortex Extended Tailpieces from 1/2 inch schedule 40 PVC, rather than thinwall. The 1/4" PVC pipe is not threaded, but rather slotted on the end. Just press it inside the riser and give it a slight twist.
