"WHISTLING PETE"
A fun new addition to the water rocket world

Here's a fun variation of Scott Chesnut's "T-Nozzle".

I call it "WHISTLING PETE", for obvious reasons, (and a little tongue & cheek on the work PETE). Basically, the idea is that after launch, this device will float at the water level. When the water level is low enough, this device will slide down into the neck of the bottle. The garden hose O Ring Washer, seals off the bottle neck and forces all remaining air pressure into the whistle. All remaining water is vented out the holes as seen on the white PVC coupler, and the air is vented out through the top hole. The result is a steam whistle effect with the remaining air and water vapor.

This is a side view without the foam float.

See how the device sets into the bottom of the bottle. The foam does not touch the sides of the bottle.

This is a view of the internal PVC part that helps create the whistle.

I'll be sharing complete diagram and parts list, if anyone is interested.
